The company offers a range of products, including Kong Gateway, an open-source API gateway; Kong Enterprise, an API platform based on Kong Gateway; Kong Konnect, a service connectivity platform; Kuma, an open-source service mesh; Kong Mesh, an enterprise-grade service mesh built on Kuma; and Insomnia, an open-source API design and testing tool.
Originally developed in 2009 in Milan, Italy, the company was first incorporated in the United States as Mashape, Inc. The initial project was a mash-up platform used for aggregating various functions and UI elements from third-party products and services. The team's interactions with a variety of APIs during the product's development inspired the founders to create a unified hub to organize the expanding API market.
Mashape made its first appearance online as an Alpha product in November 2010 and was launched in private Beta in June 2011. The team secured its initial funding in the US, receiving angel funding in 2010, followed by $1,500,000 in seed funding. In 2011, the company turned down several acquisition offers. In 2015, Mashape introduced Kong, an open-source project that later facilitated the company in securing $18 million in Series B funding. Subsequently, with the aim of redirecting the company's focus to its new Kong business, Mashape sold API Marketplace to RapidAPI and rebranded itself as Kong Inc. In 2019, Kong acquired Insomnia, an open-source API testing platform.

Responsibilities:-
- Actively participate in and lead discussions on product and design to contribute to the development and enhancement of our offerings.
- Assist in the expansion and optimization of our payment infrastructure to ensure that all individuals in India have the ability to make secure and convenient online payments.
- Play a key role in making informed decisions to customize our REST APIs to cater to the needs of developers across the globe.
- Contribute passionately to open source initiatives as we strive to set new standards and best practices for mobile payments.
- Engage in brainstorming sessions and play a pivotal role in creating innovative directions for Razorpay, with the goal of simplifying and democratizing online payment processes for everyone.

Eligibility criteria for applicants:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or a Master's in Computer Applications.
- Proficiency in both written and verbal communication.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills:-
- Over 1 year of experience in technology
- Strong product design sense
- Good experience in programming languages like PHP, Python, Django, Golang, Java, and C++
- Ability to understand end-user requirements, formulate use cases, and provide effective solutions
- Good understanding of REST APIs and web technologies
- Capable of building a feature from scratch and seeing it through to completion
- Willingness to learn new technologies for the best product delivery
- Several weekend side projects on GitHub
- Contributions to open-source projects
- Previous experience working at a product company
- Working knowledge of a backend programming language
